CIRCASA Final Conference

CIRCASA Final Conference

CIRCASA project will come to its end. After 3 years and 3 months of working side by side with our partners, the H2020 project held a virtual webinar to kick-off the work of the International Research Consortium in soil carbon. The end of CIRCASA project is certainly not the end of the global collaborations, during these 3 years of integrative efforts, an important international network has been consolidated and we are enthusiastic to see what will come next.

Date: February 10th, 2021 from 13:00-15:30 CET.

This online event was the opportunity to kick-start the work of an International Research Consortium (IRC) on soil carbon sequestration in agriculture to support and help coordinate international research and innovation in this field. CIRCASA has identified a strategic agenda (link) with four pillars and has initiated task forces to prepare this IRC that is likely to be supported by the European Commission through dedicated action.

This online event provides an overview of the key findings of CIRCASA and views from different world regions and stakeholders. It gathered more than 240 participants from 49 countries, partners, global regions, relevant stakeholders, as well as global initiatives that have formally expressed their interest to participate in the IRC.

Each organisation has been asked to explore ways to contribute to the pillars that will frame the activity of the consortium.
